Throughout my first year at University of Westminster, I was heavily involved in student life on-campus, particularly within Student Media and our TV & Radio outlets of Smoke Media - Smoke TV & Smoke Radio.
I presented a number of special features & sport magazines for Smoke TV, most notably, The Big Debate between the prospective SU Liberation Officer candidates holding them to account for their manifestos and promises - broadcast live on Smoke TV and covered extensively live by our Mag & Radio outlets as the night progresses.
I also directed/vision-mixed Smoke TV's 7-hour live broadcast of Varsity 2017 on Smoke TV's Facebook Page/YouTube Live Account, responsible for maintaining engaging output and the simulcast between the different presenters, venues and sports.
I produce and co-present Smoke Radio's No. #1 and only Film & Arts Critical Discussion programme The Saturday Film Show alongside my film colleagues Oscar Perillo, Balbina Bochuzynska and Ben Wilson - together we talk about everything concerning the world of commercial & arthouse/independent cinema covering a variety of topics every episode and featuring special guests along the way. We're hoping as the show progresses in second and third years we'll be able to refine the show further and bring you more special guests as well as film review exclusives of films we go to watch as a troupe. The show's popularity has grown massively since our earliest episodes, with a regular listener stronghold at Harrow and across other campuses as well as on-demand via the show's Mixcloud channel in which we're currently reaching on average 100-150 listeners on average per episode nationally & internationally.
In April 2017, I was selected to be the Arts Editor of Smoke Mag alongside my colleague and Journalism student Kristiyan Stefanov, together we'll be responsible for the Arts Output in print and online for Smoke Mag in Academic Year 2017-2018.
