PRODUCTION BIOGRAPHY
"With this short documentary film, I wanted to briefly explore the work and life of my grandfather John Holder, whom I look up to in every way, both personally and as an aspiring creative. John Holder: Illustrator is only a starting chapter in what I hope to be an inspiration for a potentially lengthy future project documenting the life and work of who I believe to be one of the country's most inspiring figures; having helped to co-found The Cambridge Folk Festival more than 50 years and establish Bluegrass as a mainstay genre in contemporary music. His varying hobbies and facets make him an extraordinary subject whom I've known since forever - so for me this project was very personal and kind of the culmination of having come 'full circle'."
